We’ve been so busy building vacuum kilns we almost forgot to mention our recent startup of the new Vacutherm TOUCHDRY Conventional kiln control system with Energy Management.

This is much more than a kiln controller.  By monitoring the kilns performance in unique and powerful ways our TOUCHDRY software is able to turn fans speeds down at the right time to save energy while decreasing drying time and increasing quality.

The recent installation at Southcoast Millwork in Maple Ridge, BC has already reduced drying time and given the operators more control over the drying process.  They are drying cedar and other northwest softwoods in large conventional direct fire kilns.  We are now in the final stages of implementing the high-tech Energy Management features.
